I recently discovered the Graphics Fairy. Karen has the most amazing collection of vintage clip art. And the best part is that she shares it, for FREE! I had seen this graphic before and had actually looked up it’s interesting British WWII origin on Wikipedia. Then, last week, I saw what Kathy at Creative Home Expressions did with it. I hope she knows that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery because hers is beautiful! Here is my version:
I found this frame at Big Lots.
It was coming apart at the corner, so the cashier gave it to me for $1.
A little glue, a little clamping, and it’s good as new!
A couple of coats of my BFF espresso spray paint later:
I used a piece of scrapbook paper to cover the plain white mat that came with the frame. I also edited the color of the graphic.
I hung it over my “Command Center”. In my world, “Command Center” = Place where all paperwork, school work, bills and clutter go to pile up or get lost….
It’s the first thing I see when I walk into the kitchen in the morning. It’s my new motto!
I’ll be linking up to:

Lovely! Great choice for matting. I love the green!
Hi Carolyn, I think you have a lovely blog :)
I. Love. It! I love the color you used, too. Hey - it's in the public domain and I did mine after seeing Beth's at The Stories of A to Z. Very interesting to find out that it was used {or created} so long ago ~ I never knew that.
Well done!
Good Work! Love it!
thank you for this ENTIRE post! I want to copy you. :) It turned out beautiful and I'm excited about your links too.
Hi Carolyn,
It's gorgeous! I can't believe you got that frame for only $1. Bargain!! I love the color combo you used here. Thanks so much for linking up to my "Brag Monday" party, I really appreciate you playing along today!
You did a fabulous job-girl and what a thrifty deal on the frame. You deserve to brag about your project.

Your blog is simply amazing! I found your link through A Soft Place to Land and have loved checking everything out today. Hard to believe that so many different and absolutely wonderful blogs link up in one place every week.
I have so much to learn. :)

Hi! I found you on Finding Fabulous - I love what you did with the quote. I keep seeing this around and wanting to print one for myself, but I couldn't find it on the Graphics Fairy blog. Would you mind sharing where on her blog you found it?
Nevermind, I just found it! :)
I love this...so fun! And I really love the fun green color of that matte too! Nice project!
